7 years of war, and still counting. More than half of Syria's population had to flee their homes, who are in dire need of humanitarian aid.

In 2016, from an estimated pre-war population of 22 million,  the UN identified 13.5 million Syrians requiring humanitarian assistance, of which more than 6 million are internally displaced within Syria, and around 5 million are refugees outside of Syria.*

We are partnering up with IRC to help millions of crisis-afflicted families who are displaced but remain in Syria, and refugees all around the world.

Shahid Afridi Foundation is signing a Memorandum of Understanding with IRC (Islamic Relief Canada). The Syria Relief Fund is one of the many life-saving humanitarian aid projects that we will focus together. Despite the dangerous and unpredictable security situation in Syria, Islamic Relief has been on the ground, providing food security, survival necessities, medical and hospital supplies, educational and psychosocial support. With joining together we will be able to extend a stronger helping hand to the Syrian refugees and the displaced victims of ongoing war.

The Syrian conflict is complex, making a difference is not.
