The Rohingya are considered to be one of the most persecuted minorities on the planet.

By the end of September 2017, nearly half a million Rohingya had fled the country, with the UN condemning the Burmese Government for its policy of ethnic cleansing. Satellite imagery showed the almost total destruction of 284 villages.*

Due to persecution and serious threats of violence, hundreds of thousands of Rohingya have fled to neighbouring Bangladesh, seeking refuge and peace.

Shahid Afridi Foundation has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with BWT (Baitussalam Welfare Trust) to assist Myanmar's displaced Muslim Rohingya communities, currently staying at refugee camps in Bangladesh. Shahid Afridi Foundation has allocated approximately $60,000 CAD to this cause. Through our partnership with BWT, we will continue to utilize resources to carry out humanitarian assistance efforts. Together we can help the Rohingya minorities by restoring a level of normalcy to their shattered lives.

Support the Rohingya towards the path to recovery.

Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.
